Uganda Management Institute (UMI) is a Management Development Institution with a mission “To Excel in Developing Practical and Sustainable Administration, Leadership and Management Capacity”.  It provides management training, consultancy and research services in response to the demands of the public, private, and NGO sectors.  In addition to short performance improvement management skills development courses, the Institute offers high quality career development management courses at Certificate, Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma and Higher Degree Levels.  The Institute’s activities are currently carried out at the main campus in Kampala and its Outreach Centers in Mbarara, Gulu and Mbale.

Laboratory Technician - Hope Sharing Family (HOSFA) Uganda

Job Title:  Laboratory Technician

Reports to: Senior Medical Officer

About HOSFA:
Hope Sharing Family (HOSFA) is a not- for- profit Organisation established in 1993 with a mission of contributing to a process where the deprived have access to basic human needs and promote self sustenance. HOSFA provides health services through its Medical Department- St. Francis Health Centre IV in Mityana district. HOSFA is undertaking a ONE year project" Human Resources for Health support for recruitment" with support of MildMay Uganda. The project aims at increasing availability of skilled health workers in Uganda's Health system to deliver quality HIV/AIDS services.

Qualifications,
The Laboratory Technician should hold a diploma in medical laboratory technology from a recognised institution
A minimum of two years working experience in a busy diagnostic or research laboratory environment.
Hold evidence of prior training in relevant techniques will be an added advantage.
