IOM Uganda has been registered and operational since 1988, when the field mission was established. Throughout the past 20 years, IOM Uganda has processed movements and facilitated information gathering and support towards refugees, internally displaced persons, demobilized child soldiers, trafficked women and other migrants and their specific needs, both on individual and large scale population movement. In addition to operational matters and research, IOM has an important role in enhancing and building national capacity in migration management.

Job Summary: The Project Assistant will support the labour migration unit in implementing three IOM projects entitled: “Contributing to Improved Labour Market Information through the UN Joint Programme on Population” , “Strengthening Labour Migration Management and Productivity in Uganda” and “Mainstreaming Migration into Development” which have the following major objectives, respectively;
To contribute to the design of better and more coherent labour policies that will address employment issues in Uganda, particularly those related to youth by developing a Labour Market Needs Assessment Report and a Labour Force Survey Report.
To enhance Ugandan socioeconomic development through strengthened labour migration policies, practices, productivity and protection in Uganda
To ensure that migration is mainstreamed into Uganda’s second National Development Plan

About Project:
The Agri-Fin Mobile program approach works with partners to build sustainable models, where farm and crop management tools and financial services are "bundled" in affordable, unified platforms on mobile phone channels to promote mass uptake commercially. The program targets partners with existing financial, MNO and agricultural technical service mobile platforms or applications, or demonstrated interest in developing and investing in them, and facilitates development of a business model whereby the bundling process provides an increased value proposition for each partner, such as, increased fee income, greater outreach or reduced risks. The Agri-Fin Mobile program will achieve two primary results within the 3-year program time frame:
180,000 smallholder farmers will access farm productivity services through improved productivity and financial management practices accessed via mobile based technologies.
A commercially viable business model which “bundles” key services from agriculture industry stakeholders, research and extension institutions, financial service providers, and telecommunications companies, will be developed in three locations (Indonesia, Uganda, Zimbabwe) offering detailed examples for replication and scalability.

Job Summary: The Finance Manager will primarily provide financial management, accounting and investment analysis services to the Pension Scheme.

Key Duties
Development and implementation of financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Establish and manage internal controls and accounting systems within a computerized environment.
Prepare all financial plans and ensure effective budgetary control in line with overall goals of the Scheme.
Responsible for the development of a framework for monitoring and evaluating investment performance and risk control.

Job Summary: The Regional Field Support Officer will be responsible for building capacity at the health facility level in order to facilitate an efficient flow of HIV related commodities to the beneficiaries of the health facility.

Key Duties
Offer support the partner health facility in management of the supply chain through analysis and forecasting the required commodities, placing timely orders and liaising with warehousing, and ensuring consistent availability of HIV commodities (zero tolerance for stock outs)
Build the capacity and manage performance of the health facility pharmacy staff in the supply chain management systems and tools including Ministry of Health HMIS and LMIS.
