To support the senior Engineers in the planning, development and construction supervision of projects in the departments responsible for investment planning and promotion, and project development and management.
Key result areas
1. to participate in planning and development of projects
2. to supervise project implementation

Planning of projects and in particular be involved in the following activities
a. appraising community projects
b. review of feasibility studies
c. review of engineering designs, environmental impact assessment reports and Resettlement Action plans

Verify applications for registration and licensing
Coordinate the in-flow of data from individual professionals and supervisors, verify and enter it into the database
Verify entered data to ensure accuracy and compliance with set standards
Maintain data integrity, confidentiality and efficient operations by following laid down policies and procedures
Prepare an updated list of all registered and licensed professionals and health facilities for publication in the gazette
Develop and review a database for all Allied Health professional registrants, licensed private health facilities and accredited health training institutions in the country
Ensure an up-to-date registers
Make authorized changes in the registers
Perform other duties incidental to the above assigned from time to time by the supervisor

LEGAL OFFICER - UGANDA MEDICAL AND DENTAL PRACTITIONERS COUNCIL
JOB TITLE: LEGAL OFFICER
The Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council is statutory body established by an Act of Parliament, chapter 272 of 1996 to regulate and enforce standards of education and practice in Uganda so as to protect society from harmful effects of malpractice. The council has identified the need and desirous to recruit highly motivated and committed team players to fill up the position mentioned below;
JOB TITLE: LEGAL OFFICER
Reports to; council
Responsibilities
• Represent council in courts of law and prosecute both civil and criminal cases
• Advises council on legal matters
• Draft legal documents and contracts
• Investigate and prepare cases for prosecution in line with court procedures and relevant laws
• Interview and brief witnesses on court/Arbitration proceedings and practices in line with the Evidence Act and professional Ethics
• Prepare progress reports on cases where the council has interest
• Conduct legal audits for all divisions to ensure that all legal aspects of any decisions are fully considered
• Conduct legal research and preparing reports on any legally complex issues to ensure that the council has full information about the legal implications of any decision
• Draft regulations to fully operationalize the UMDPC Act
• Perform any other duties incidental to the above assigned from time to time by the supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Honors Bachelor’s degree in law from a recognized institute
• Postgraduate Diploma in legal practice from LDC
• At least 3 years experience in legal practice in a reputable organization
• Must be enrolled as an advocate of the high court of Uganda with a practicing certificate
