Job Title: Social Worker

Habitat for Humanity Uganda affiliated to Habitat for Humanity International is an Ecumenical Christian non-governmental organization running Programs that seek to eliminate Poverty Housing in several areas in Uganda .
Job Purpose
S/he will play the lead role in overseeing Habitat for Humanity Uganda’s programs for HIV and other vulnerable children in the respective Communities .
The position call for a high level of collaboration , networking at local and District level .
Qualifications
A minimum of a Diploma in Social work or its equivalent (additional qualifications are an added advantage )
Proven field based experience in coordinating HIV/AIDS , OVC or related programs
At least 3 years of NGO project/program related implementation and management preferably within the HIV/AIDS, OVC or related programs
Ability to work and live in rural setting
Ability to ride a motorcycle and evidence of a riders license
Excellent interpersonal communications skills

Job Title: IT Officer

Job Purpose
Performs a variety of network related tasks in support of IT services related to the operation,
Performance and availability of data services and communication for all Habitat for Humanity Uganda offices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information systems , Information Technology , MCSA/MCSE certification desirable .
Detailed knowledge of all developed software applications and their designated usage
Networking design and operations principles , system intergration requirements and procedures
Installation , configuration and troubleshooting for operating systems , computer office suites , e-mail and inter/tranet .
Virus protection software and identifying , addressing and removing viruses.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities
Coordinate project logistics activities including procurement, management and storage of surgical , pharmaceutical and lab supplies .

Your duties:
 Developing and strengthening the programme of LIGHT FOR THE WORLD (LFTW) in South Sudan with an emphasis on eye health programmes (prevention and eradication)
 Provide project partner support in the field of eye care and community based rehabilitation
 Monitoring and evaluation of ongoing projects and programmes supported by LFTW
 Assist partners of LFTW in their endeavor for networking and collaboration with the relevant authorities, other LFTW partners as well as with other organizations.
 Actively represent LFTW in eye care coordination and other related meetings with other eye care organizations or related health organizations
Requirements:
 Academic degree in public health, health management, or related field
 Minimum of three years of experience in South Sudan as programme officer or coordinator, preferably in the field of (eye) health and/ or community development
 Proven experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
 Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
 Profound interest or experience in development issues, prevention of blindness, rehabilitation and education of persons with disabilities and capacity building towards a disability inclusion-friendly society
 Strong communication skills in English (written en oral)
 South Sudanese nationality
