Implements and monitors the Donor Care Plan, which will involve working across the Country to set up training for relevant colleagues in programs to improve donor reporting and management.
Works across the organization to ensure that fundraising is maximized (systematically working with WWF UCO and ESARPO at program and fundraising level).
Donor care and development:
Works with WWF UCO and directly with donors to understand gaps in donor care and opportunities to develop donors.

Recruits support from ESARPO for training that will aid and improve donor care and developing new donors.

Fundraising growth:

Leads development of materials for fundraising with institutional and other donors.
Supports WWF UCO Country Director and Senior Management Team to fundraise better by preparing briefings, advice on funding opportunities and tailored approaches for individual donor meetings, events etc.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
The candidate should possess an advanced university degree in an appropriate field (Conservation / Environment / Institutional Development, Business Management / Administration);
At least seven years institutional fundraising experience and strategic planning experience. Ideally the candidate would already possess key relationships with major donors such as the EU, UNDP, DFID, SIDA, NORAD, DANIDA.
Broad working experience and good knowledge of conservation and development issues in Uganda, in general, with at least five years of experience in the region.
Knowledge of the International Development and Donor community in Uganda, as well as of relevant policy issues;
Good writing and presentation skills, ability to develop and co-ordinate fundraising efforts and to work effectively with a wide variety of partners and disciplines.
Diplomatic and multi-cultural skills, especially in the African context.
Proven leadership and team management skills;
