Job Title: Laboratory Information Officer
The Uganda Virus Research Institute would like suitable qualified applicants to fill the above position.Responsibilities
• Train Lab staff in the proper use of the accessing and respository modules of the LIMS as well as supervising visiting technicians when operating the LIMS.
• Receives and accessions specimens into the LIMS including monitoring safe practice in specimen handling and reporting lapses to lab section heads .
• Communicates regularly with project staff at various sites on data issues.
Requirements
• A Bachelors degree in Statistics/IT/Computer Science.
• Experience in working in biomedical instution
