Cayenne Restaurant is openning a chain of restaurants in Uganda and is looking to hire a highly compentent team to help it revolutionarise the food business in Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities;
Supervises and participates in the preparation of a wide variety of foodstuffs.
Estimates food needs, reviews inventory to assure that adequate supplies are available,
Requisitions food and other supplies from stockroom or commissary.
Does skilled cooking and food preparation.
Coordinates food service activities to have meals prepared at scheduled time.
Supervises storage and use of leftover foodstuffs and uncooked products.
Inspects, supervises and participates in the cleaning of kitchens.
Trains and instructs employees in cooking, food preparation and food handling techniques; supervises subordinate cooks during a minor portion of the employee’s work time, where duties including assigning, reviewing and evaluating work.
Packages and freezes samples of all served food to comply with health regulations.
Operates all food service equipment and machinery.
Minimum Attributes
Two to Five years’ experience as a Chef
A creative interest in food and cookery.
The ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
High standards of cleanliness and hygiene
The ability to organize and plan your own work and that of others
Strong communication skills
Leadership and management skills
The ability to control a budget and work with figures
Stamina with the ability to cope in a hot and busy kitchen
The ability to deal calmly with unexpected situations and crises.

We are looking for Head Chef in a small scale luxury safari lodge (8 cottages), serving international cuisine (incl. packed meals and live BBQ events.)
We Expect:
preparation of various types of international dishes (4 course dinners)
preparation of packed breakfasts and lunches
co-ordination of kitchen (including three other kitchen staff)
correct food portioning and costing
compilation of menu
preparing the weekly shopping requirements for the kitchen
correct storage of fresh and dry kitchen supplies
proper stock keep of all goods
Requirements
Educational qualifications and experience
being able to read and write in English
being able to follow a recipe
must have previous experience in similar job environment
Special Skills Required
able to communicate well with the guests and kitchen team members
creative
willing to train junior staff
must be highly flexible and adaptable to live in a remote setting in Uganda , with off days scheduled according to lodge occupancy
ready to work under pressure

An air hostess works in a commercial domestic and/or international flight. Not only does one require a pleasing personality, but also a demeanor that naturally displays qualities like perseverance, patience, and compassion. The following are the duties that an air hostess is expected to perform.
Before Travel
To carefully pay attention to the flight details that the pilot discusses with the crew members during the briefing.
To ensure that all the necessary equipment including first-aid kits, emergency exits, and other evacuation devices are functioning properly.
To ensure that there is adequate amount of food and beverages for all passengers, including other supplies like pillows, blankets, reading material, etc.
During Travel
To check passenger tickets, assist passengers to find their seat and place the carry-on baggage.
To inform passengers about safety rules and policies while aboard. This includes notifying the passengers about emergency exits, and using safety equipment.
To fulfill their basic requests including food and beverages as per preferences.
To provide blankets and pillows, taking care of passengers who require special attention in their illness, helping passengers with finding their seats, placing their luggage, and so on.

To make necessary announcements regarding the flight schedule, the duration of the flight, the weather conditions.

Working Conditions
No matter how glamorous and amazing the job of an air hostess seems to be, they do have their share of challenges as well. Some of these are mentioned as under.
The working hours are irregular as there are always delays and changes in the flight plan.
For domestic flights, the shift can go for as long as 14 hrs, or longer, if you are working for an international flight.
The job requires you to work during holidays or weekends, making you spend approximately 65-90 hrs per month in the air, plus additional 50 hours spent on writing reports and preparing to fly. You do get paid for the overtime on an hourly basis and the airline pays for your hotel stay and meals, but, most of the time is spent traveling.
