About Us:
The Parliamentary Commission of Uganda serves the following functions;
To appoint, promote and exercise disciplinary control over persons holding public office in Parliament;
To review the terms and conditions of service, standing orders, training and qualifications  of persons holding office in Parliament;
To provide a Parliamentary reporting service;
To provide such other staff and facilities as are required to ensure efficient functioning of the Parliament;
To cause to be prepared in each financial year, estimates of revenue and expenditure for the next financial year; and
To make recommendations to Parliament, or with the approval of Parliament, determine the allowances payable and privileges available to the Speaker and Members of Parliament.

Job Summary: The Economist will collect and conduct preliminary data analysis within the Division.

Key Roles
Collect and analyse data related to government revenue, expenditure and deficit.
Collect and analyse information on economic and social policies as well as financial and monetary sectors of the economy.
Estimate costs and revenues associated with proposed legislation.
Support Parliament and its committees in utilizing economic and budget performance measurement indicators during oversight meetings.

Senior Planner - Wakiso District Service Commission

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Gathering, analyzing and storing data into useful information for end users.
Developing and maintaining a data bank for planning and decision making purposes
Providing technical advice on matters related to planning.
Preparing and coordinating work plans and budgets
Developing and constantly reviewing District plans, projects and local government policies.
The job holder will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and Implementation of Local Government plans; programmes and projects.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should possess an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Economics from a recognized Institution; plus a postgraduate Diploma in Planning and Management from a recognized institution.
The job holder should possess at least three (3) years of relevant experience in the area of planning in a Public or a reputable organization

Age Limit: 25 yrs & above
