ASSISTANT DATA ADMINISTRATOR - PARLIAMENTARY PENSION SCHEME



Applications are invited from qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant posts under the Parliamentary Pension Scheme.

POST: ASSISTANT DATA ADMINISTRATOR

SALARY SCALE: EQUIVALENT TO PC4 (PC SCALE)
NO OF VACANCIES: 1 (ONE)
 AGE LIMIT: 21 YEARS AND ABOVE
JOB STATUS: ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACT (RENEWABLE)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure proper data management and provide IT support services.
Key responsibilities:
To resolve, clean, analyse and reconcile data in line with Parliamentary Pension Scheme guidelines.
To prepare, structure and load data onto the database.
To train and guide users of computerized systems.
To provide technical support on computer infrastructure.
To provide help desk support to members.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirement:
A minimum of an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, or Information Technology, or Management Information Systems, or Statistics/Mathematics with computer science.
A professional qualifications in Oracle, Sql Server, Solaris/Linux and open source technologies will be an added advantage Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in systems analysis and application development or equivalent experience in the related field.
Skills and abilities
Knowledge and use of hardware and software operations
Proficient in MS Office applications in a Windows Environment.
Knowledge and skills in use of various operating systems.
Good Communication skills.
Good Interpersonal Skills.
