Job Title: Monitoring , Evaluation and Learning Officer

Mercy Corps exists to alleviate suffering , poverty and oppression by helping people build secure , productive and just communicate Operating in Uganda since 2006.
Essential Job Functions
• Follow all Mercy Corps policies , procedures , grant compliance and documentation requirements
• Implement and make sure all respective donors M&E rules and regulations are respected
• Assist with data preparation and presentation , including through data visualization techniques
• Participate in on-going M&E training and support for all Mercy Corps programs
• Prepare a weekly report of all completed and planned activities
• Lead in-house surveys and all necessary associated tasks
Required Knowledge
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in economics , statistics , math ,computer science or another relevant degree .
• Three years work experience in M&E related field
• Strong knowledge of M&E tools and methodologies
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Fluent communication skills in English -both written and oral is required
• Experience collecting primary data ; both quantitative and qualitative
• Analytical and report writing skills
