Nakasero Hospital Limited (NHL) is a private hospital in Kampala that opened its doors to outpatient treatment in March 2009 and inpatient treatment, the same year. Our mission is to provide quality medical care to patients, to fill the gap which is created by lack of adequate medical facilities in the country.
Job Summary: The Head of Medical Services is responsible for the delivery of excellent Medical Services and Clinical Supervision at NHL.
Supervise clinical peer review.
Oversee documentation and care planning
Manage physician relations and/or representation
Handle clinical patient complaints
Address emergency clinical issues
Manage the strategic development of Clinical Services at the Hospital
Provide leadership in developing creative, innovative and cost-effective healthcare at NHL
Monitor quality and appropriateness of medical care within the hospital
Develop clinical policies and procedures.
The applicant should possess a post-graduate degree in Medicine, with ten (10) years postgraduate experience in private or public healthcare management.
Skills and Experience:
At least seven (7) years in senior clinical practice with management/leadership roles in a similar sized healthcare facility.
Valid registration and practicing license from the Medical & Dental Council
Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-task setting.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Possess high analytical skills.
Good computer literacy skills
