Job Summary: The Driver will transport staff, deliver and parcels to various destinations and within set deadlines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Drives staff / delivers newspaper various destinations as assigned.
Keeps the vehicle in the cleanest and in good mechanical condition.
Monitors the distances covered, I for service and ensure it is service
Maintains a work book for each logs in the distances covered.
Monitors the condition of the veil defects for rectifying immediately.
Fuels the vehicle, takes care of tools and other accessories.
Checks duty roaster route and veil
Sorts and loads parcels ensuring out order for efficient drops en route
Signs off the loading strip list destination within set deadlines.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
All candidates should possess 'O' Level Certificate (Uganda Education) or its equivalent
A valid driver's license, with at 2 classes i.e. CM or DL
Three to five years working experience driver
Strong communication and inter with a very good command of English
High drive for results and achieve deadlines
Very high personal standards
Mechanical knowledge is an added advantage
