About CLUSA:
The National Cooperative Business Association – CLUSA Uganda is seeking highly qualified individuals to support a United States Department of Agriculture funded project to increase smallholder farmers’ incomes through adoption of conservation agriculture techniques in Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Member of the senior management team;
Mentor and supervise Accounts Assistant, Administrative Assistant, and Procurement and Logistics Specialist in daily work plans and duties;
Ensure proper US Government compliance with all financial transactions, proper support documentation, and entering transactions correctly into Quick books;
Work closely with the US based home office to ensure that all transactions are up-loaded properly in a timely manner;




Responsible for project budget analysis and reporting on budget expenditures on a monthly basis to the Chief of Party;
Responsible for ensuring full compliance to all internal policies and procedures and communicating such to all staff,
Manage all project contracts and policies including tenancy agreements, insurance policies, and other employee benefits processing;
Manage all Human Resources issues in collaboration with the Chief of Party and in full compliance with Ugandan labor codes;
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The candidate should possess a master’s degree, or equivalent experience in accounting, finance; CPA preferred;
At least five (5) years’ experience at the supervisory/management level of multiple projects;
Exceptional diplomatic and business negotiating skills;
Fluency in English;
Extensive knowledge of US Government policies, procedures, procurement practices, rules, regulations, and reporting requirements;
Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and management skills, written/oral communication, and computer skills;
Demonstrated experience with computerized accounting software and excel spreadsheets;
Prior work experience with QuickBooks accounting software program;
Ability to work with people and willingness to support and train others;
Ability to travel to project sites nationwide.
