About Project:
 BRAC Research & Evaluation Unit is currently seeking a Research Station Supervisor to support fieldwork coordination within the framework of the Village Enterprise Impact randomized evaluation study. The Village Enterprise Impact randomized evaluation study aims to evaluate the effects of Village Enterprise’s programme, comprising of: business skills and financial literacy training, seed capital grants, business mentorship, and business savings groups. This programme will be compared to: the full programme minus business savings


groups, a simplified business in- a-box programme, and unconditional cash grants (with and without a behavioural intervention). The study will be conducted in villages within a two-hour travel radius from BRAC branches in both Hoima and Soroti, and the position will be based in the BRAC branch Office in Soroti.

Job Summary: The Station Supervisor will primarily be responsible for the overall supervision of the baseline survey and micro-market research activities in Soroti Branch in the framework of the Village Enterprise Impact RCT study.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Collecting baseline interviews and micro-market data from the field.
Appointing enumerators and assigning them to specific villages.
Data collection.
Cross checking interviews.
Conducting surveys’ back-checks in the field.
Data entry and data submission to REU.
Reporting to Regional Supervisor and REU.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The candidate should possess a Diploma or higher Degree in any social science related fields.
Experience in research, including data collection and fieldwork supervision.
Ability to work with tight deadlines.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office package.

Age: 30-35 years
