The Aga Khan University in conjunction with the Aga Khan Health Service in Uganda invites applications for the vacancies above based in Kampala. Uganda.
Job Summary: The Medical Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for provision of effective, efficient, quality laboratory services for the Aga Khan Health Service.
Responsibilities:
Receive specimens for analysis and conduct tests as per client’s request;
Ensure cost-effective utilization of reagents;
Ensure all urgent and abnormal results are communicated to users;
Maintain accurate records of all conducted tests;
Actively participate in the implementation of quality control programmes;
Conduct routine and specialized analysis of tests as per approved procedures;
Prepare timely and accurate test reports.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Centre Manager
Qualifications,
The Medical Lab Technologists should hold a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized Institution.
Skills and Experience:
At least five (5) years’ relevant experience
The incumbent must also be registered by the Allied Health Professional’s Council with a valid practicing license.
