Job Title: Data Collection Assistant

The National Agriculture Research Organization (NARO) is the apex body for guidance and coordination of all agricultural research activities of the National Agricultural Research system in Uganda .
Tasks
• Trained interviewers will implement a structured questionnaire with each house hold to collect cross-sectional and retrospective information on maternal well-being , livelihood strategies , the characteristics of household members and the location and management of agricultural plots .
• Proxy reports will be collected on the location and status of households and individuals that have died or left the community.
• Additional GPS points will be collected at the location, of new household and plot-locations, allowing us to use geographic information systems and additional spatial –datasets to describe their topographic , ecological and climate contexts.
Qualifications
• Minimum qualification ; Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences , Development Studies or related disciplines,
• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Soil Science , Environment or Related disciplines.
• Knowledge of the local language in that particular distinct is a Must.
• Successful candidates should be prepared to live upcountry during the duration of the survey
