The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is a global leader in the fight against pediatric HIV and AIDS, working in 13 countries and at 4700 sites around the world to prevent the transmission of HIV to Children, and to help for a two year cooperative agreement to implement a project to optimize HIV Treatment Access Among Pregnant Women (OHTA) in 8 districts in the south western region of Uganda


Job summary
H/she will support implementation of innovative community and facility interventions aimed at improving the demand and uptake of PMTCT and reproductive health service in the supported districts in the south western region.

Core Duties
- Provide technical support in the development of district work plans to implement OHTA project activates in the districts if support
- Capacity building if heath workers in goal-oriented ANC and ensuring improved ANC through organizing training and mentoring of health workers on goal – oriented ANC implantation
- Facilitate the adoption of continuous quality improvement (QI) methodologies in MNCH service provision through mentoring and supervision supportive counseling for HIV-positive women and families




- Coordinate the implementation of project quarterly PMCT performance review meetings at the respective district level and support teams to develop improvement plans
- Provide activity reports and participates in other technical reporting according to defined reporting schedule writes regular monitoring and technical reports as required
- Assist in identifying, documenting, disseminating and scaling up best practices in PMTCT and C&T
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualification
A bachelors of Surgery( MBChB) or a degree in Nursing(reproductive health) from a recognized institution and must be registered with relevant professional body. Having a master’
S degree in community/public Health is an added advantage
3 years exp with a reputable NGO and direct exp with government and donor representatives
