About ICPAU:
ICPAU is the national professional accountancy body in Uganda, established by The Accountants Act. It has the legal mandate to:
Regulate and maintain the standard of Accountancy in Uganda.
Prescribe and regulate the conduct of accountants in Uganda.
Conduct professional accountancy examinations in Uganda.

Job Summary: The Assistant Technical Officer will be responsible for assisting the Technical Officer in executing the technical function of the Institute.

Key Roles

To assist in handling technical issues related to the Accountancy Profession.
To participate in the audit monitoring programme of the Institute.
To assist in the execution of the Continuing Professional Development
(CPD) Programme.
To assist in development and preparation of technical materials
To assist in the building of relationships with the Institute’s stakeholders.
To participate in conducting research in accountancy and related areas.
To participate in the running of the Institute’s events and functions.
Perform other administrative duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Qualifications,
The applicant should be a qualified Accountant. A degree is an added advantage.
Skills and Experience:
At least 2 years’ experience in auditing/teaching.
Skills in Auditing and accounting; report writing; and team leadership.
All candidates should exhibit visionary, courteous, self-driven, energetic and commitment
They should also possess high degrees of integrity who can bring expertise in their fields.
Excellent command of the English language (both spoken and written).
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; and resourceful team builders/players.
Good analytical and problem–solving skills.
Be creative, innovative and sensitive to quality.
