Senior Project Manager
About this job
A multinational communications and network access company is seeking to recruit result driven and motivated individuals for the Vacancy above;
Reports to: MTN Operations Manager MTN Mobile Money
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the efficient and effective execution of MTN’s contract to deliver monthly payments to SAGE beneficiaries ensuring compliance with contractual commitments, service level agreements and relevant legislation.
Document and continually review and refine policies and procedures relating to the delivery of SAGE payments through the Mobile Money platform. This to include policies and procedures relating to: agent management and training; SIM card activation; enrolment; monthly payment delivery; account management; monitoring and evaluation; complaints and reporting. These to be set-out in a Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
Liaise between SAGE and all the relevant departments within MTN i.e. Finance, IT, Marketing and Procurement, escalating to senior managers where necessary.
Give support to monitoring units nominated by SAGE and over all planning, tracking and documentation.
Coordinate field activities, monitor and deliver set targets according to the project deliverables.
Agent coordination - Ensure agents are available for payments, have adequate float, and give good customer care to beneficiaries.
Attend weekly SAGE operations meetings.
Establish and maintain a register of operational and strategic issues which need to be addressed or resolved.
Develop and maintain a pay point distribution and security plan for SAGE programme areas and oversee its implementation.
Develop an agent recruitment plan and oversee its implementation.
Trouble-shooting and query resolution.
Coordinate Support to Partners Agents and Dealers.
Coordinate the field teams to ensure smooth operations of all activities.
Provide a link between operating teams in the field and office system operations.
Coordinate all financial and narrative reporting to SAGE
Lead MTN’s day-to-day engagement with research, monitoring and capacity building initiatives commissioned by SAGE and/or MTN.
Support the SAGE pilot’s learning agenda through the timely provision of reports, data and analysis.
Qualifications:
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other relevant business related degree from a recognized university
At least 3 years of professional experience in a commercial or operational environment.
Experience in the telecommunications and/or financial services industry would be a particular advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer
Fluent in English
Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Strong interpersonal communication abilities.
Ability to lead a team, support morale, provide focus, helping the team manage stress and unexpected challenges.
Customer service orientation with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Highly results-focused with ability to pay attention to detail.
Experience in narrative and financial report-writing and presentation delivery.
Performance indicators:
Timeliness of payment delivery to SAGE beneficiaries.
Clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures.
Timelines, accuracy and completeness of narrative and financial reporting to SAGE.
Design and implementation of a cost-effective operational model for SAGE payment delivery.
Timeliness and completeness of query resolution and trouble-shooting.
