Plant Breeding Research Assistant - CIAT International in Kampala
The International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT)- a member of the CGIAR Consortium .Responsibilities
• Work with the Bean Breeder identify and select common bean lines exhibiting desirable trials .
• Execute crossing programs in consultation with the Bean Breeder.
• Work with the breeder to analyse breeding data ,write project reports and publish research findings .
Requirements
• Master’s degree in Agriculture Crop Science or Plant Breeding and seed systems.
• Working knowledge of plant pathology and molecular breeding is an added advantage
• Must have supervisory skills and the ability to deal with farmers and coorperators
