Senior Agricultural Specialist, Uganda
Chemonics seeks a senior agricultural specialist for the anticipated five-year USAID-funded Feed the Future Enabling Environment for Agriculture (EEA) project in Uganda. The project will partner with Ugandan private and public institutions to improve the enabling environment for agricultural development, trade, and adaptation to climate change. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.Responsibilities include:
Provide technical leadership and oversight for activities aimed at strengthening the capacity of Government of Uganda institutions to facilitate agricultural development and trade
Job Requirements Qualifications:
Advanced degree in agricultural economics, economics, business, international development, public policy, or other relevant field required; bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus four years of experience can be substituted for an advanced degree
Minimum eight years of international experience in agricultural development
Demonstrated high-level technical, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skill
Proven track record of achieving results in similar types of capacity strengthening and improved enabling environment activities
Strong oral communication skills
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
Fluency in English required
