LIGHT FOR THE WORLD is an NGO committed to saving eyesight, improving the quality of life and advocating for the rights of person with disabilities in the underprivileged regions of our world. LIGHT FOR THE WORLD has been supporting programs in South Sudan since 2005. In 2010 a coordination office was established in Juba to support the programs in the field of eye care and disability.

Your duties:
 Developing and strengthening the programme of LIGHT FOR THE WORLD (LFTW) in South Sudan with an emphasis on eye health programmes (prevention and eradication)
 Provide project partner support in the field of eye care and community based rehabilitation
 Monitoring and evaluation of ongoing projects and programmes supported by LFTW
 Assist partners of LFTW in their endeavor for networking and collaboration with the relevant authorities, other LFTW partners as well as with other organizations.
 Actively represent LFTW in eye care coordination and other related meetings with other eye care organizations or related health organizations
Requirements:
 Academic degree in public health, health management, or related field
 Minimum of three years of experience in South Sudan as programme officer or coordinator, preferably in the field of (eye) health and/ or community development
 Proven experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
 Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
 Profound interest or experience in development issues, prevention of blindness, rehabilitation and education of persons with disabilities and capacity building towards a disability inclusion-friendly society
 Strong communication skills in English (written en oral)
 South Sudanese nationality
