Job Title: Program Officer International Justice Program
Avocats sans Frontieres – Uganda Office is seeking to employ a program officer for its International Justice Program to start immediately.
Functions
• Organise and oversee the technical and organizational aspects of the activities of the project , namely timely and effective project coordination and implementation .
• Participate in budget management , oversight and financial monitoring of the project .
• Participate in technical meetings concerning the projects , including those organized and presided over by the Head of Mission .
• Ensure that the activities of the regional project are effectively implemented in close collaboration with the legal aid , awareness-raising and training teams .
Qualifications
• In possession of a LLB in law ; (a masters in human rights law , international criminal law or related area is preferred);
• At least 2-4 years of working experience ( preferably with an NGO or similarly situated institution) preferably on issues related to human rights and/or international criminal justice
• Good project oversight & budget management skills ;
• Good legal writing and research skills
