Job Description:
Ministry of Health is seeking to recruit a candidate to fill the above position
Job Requirements:
Reports to: senior program officer
Job purpose: to provide technical support in the development and implementation of the national program for the elimination of mother to child transmission of HIV
Key functions:
• Participating in the development and review of policies, plans, strategies, guidelines and standards in eMTCT and monitoring the implementation
• Participating in planning and budgeting for eMTCT activities
• Providing technical support to a broad portfolio of implementation partners, districts and facilities who provide eMTCT services
• Supporting the establishment of public private partnership and collaborative linkages between the local governments, non-government organizations and communities
Qualifications:
• Must possess a MBChB degree or an equivalent from a recognized university
• Must possess a masters degree in medicine or pediatrics or public health or epidemiology
• Possession of a post graduate qualification in management project planning and management
Experience:
• Must have at least three years relevant working experience implementing HIV and AIDS programs at national or regional levels
