H/She shall report to the project manager and will handle all the environment and social issues in regards to the Ministry component of the project
Roles
Supervise the proper implementation of the environmental and social mitigation for the Ministry projects
Review the consultants proposed environmental mitigation including Safety and HIV/AIDS related measures for all the proposed electrical works
Supervise and monitor implementation of the resettlement Action Plan
Manage aspects related to communications and disclosure of land acquisition related aspects under the program
Ensure ecological and social aspects related to land Acquisition and Compensation processed comply with set safeguard plans as well as approval requirements
Prepare consolidated monthly environmental monitoring reports and reports on the implementation of mitigation measures by contractors, and quarterly progress reports on implementation of land acquisition related activities
Qualifications
University Degree in Environmental Management/ Environmental Science
Proven experience with community development and land acquisition for project development initiatives
At least 5 years of relevant experience in similar assignments specifically in the supervision and reporting of /for donor funded projects
Must be computer literate
Must not be above 35 years
