Spirits packaging has two lines: Glass line with the capacityof 3,000BPH and PET line with the capacity of 3,000 BPH. Both lines are manually operated. Currently the company produces 08 Spirits brands locally and imports and distributes many other premium DIAGEO brands. EABL (Uganda) is operating in an FMCG environment in which it controls more than 50% of the existing local beer and spirits market, with a huge potential for further growth, both within and outside the country. It now has all its production operations carried out on one site. The company sells most of its beer products mainly in the local market. However, it sells a lot of spirits products in GLR. The company has also expanded its beer packaging capacity to 1.7 Million hectolitres with some of the imported SKU’s to be produced locally once brew-house capacity is also increased.
Job Summary: The Job holder will efficiently carry out all blending activities for all spirits products in order for EABL Uganda to produce high quality products to meet both local and international quality standards in a safe environment and at the lowest cost.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out blending activities for all spirits brands produced locally as stated in operating procedures to produce product that meets stated quality requirements as per the quality standards.
Receive and document all Blending and other materials.
Carry out basic quality checks through product testing, rectify anomalies and recommend for corrective action.
Ensure process and component waste are below target
Consistently keep process records as required by the quality systems.
Operate the RO Plant to produce good Quality water for Blending and keep records
Ensure safety requirements for self and those working around the machine are rigorously met.
Does on the job training to attaches and new recruits.
Key Performance Indicators:
No down time as a result of no blended products.
QI > 99%
Maintain Blending loss of 0.1%
Maintain spirits loss of 1.5%
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The candidate should hold an Ordinary diploma in a relevant field. Preferably, Chemistry, Food processing or its equivalent.
Hands-on experience in production operations of not less than 3 years,
Knowledge of resource planning, requirements planning and capacity planning.
Information systems and technology

Good communicator
Possess the ability to influence across functional boundaries
Able to work long and flexible hours
