Responsibilities:

• Working in well site units collecting, processing, logging and analyzing geological samples;
• Using various laboratory techniques to evaluate detailed and complex data for signs of oil or gas;
• Monitoring computer recordings of drillings;
• Interpreting information and feeding it back to the drilling team to enhance safety and success;
• Operating and maintaining a real¬time computer-based data acquisition system, the advanced logging system (ALS), which records all aspects of rig activity;
• Undertaking some on-site maintenance, for which a knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is useful;
• Taking on the primary health and safely role for the well through constant monitoring of all critical drilling parameters;
• Predicting dangerous situations, such as over-pressured formations;
• Assisting the well site geologist during coring operations;
• Reporting to the well site geologist and the oil company in written reports;
• Frequently acting as a drilling engineer, collating and then logging details of drilling operations in oil companies’ computer systems
• Detailed cutting analysis and lithology interpretation.
• Detailed oil fluorescence description.
• Cut/fluorescence description.
• Calcimetry/Dolometry.
• Automatic continuous evaluation of total gas and chromatographic analysis of gas ratio analysis hydrocarbons.
• normalized gas calculations and graphic plots.
• Real time monitoring of operations while drilling, tripping kick & kill operations.
• Real time output of monitoring parameters during the above mentioned operationsshould be in graphic displays, plots and prints.
• Sample collection, preparation and packing in accordance with Company instructions.
• Core and SWC samples assisting for organizing, lithology-describing, lapping/ sealing, and packing.
• Stratigraphic interpretation with samples and other information.
• Hydrocarbon evaluation of all the data collected and computed.
• Daily reports preparation and up to date mud log and any other output requested by Company.
• Producing a daily report, geological report, black and white and/or coloured mud log and any other output on current drilling conditions as requested by Company representatives.




• Deviation survey data gathering and manipulation.
• Preparation of an up to date pressure gradient analysis log, detailing pore pressure, ECD, estimated pore pressure, overburden gradient & estimated fracture gradient, other items to include are raw data plots of drilling rates, corrected D-exponent.
• Preparation of an up to date temperature data log utilizing mud temperature, bit hydraulics optimization, swab & surge analysis, drilling cost analysis, full kick analysis, full down hole and annular hydraulics analysis.

Qualifications

• BS degree in petroleum geology. Petroleum Geology or Petroleum Engineering from a recognized University
• Minimum 5 years oil field experience preferably with Mud Logging
• Excellent Problem Solving Skills
• Language: English and Polish
• Microsoft Office Skills
• Excellent computer
• Safely Training Courses and Medical Certificate
