Madhvani Group, a leading international, professionally managed industrial / service group, with diverse operations seeks to recruit a highly qualified, experienced and motivated Works Manager (eventually to take charge as General Manager from the current incumbent who is retiring) urgently to manage independently their recently rehabilitated composite steel plant with capacity to produce 60,000 tons per annum. The factory has installed two crucibles of modern Induction Furnace of 15MT capacity each and a Continuous Casting Machine to produce billets. The company has also an Automatic Rolling Mill with Continuous Stands for finishing stages controlled by modern PLC (Programmable Logic Controls) and automatic cascading system with TMT box to produce TMT(Thermo Mechanical Treated) bars which imports the best quality to the finished products like steel billets, angles, bars, rounds, wires and wire rods used for constructional purposes.
Co-ordination of procurement of scarp to ensure un interpreted production.
Prepare annual budgets for production, sales and capital and revenue cost.
Achieving the Production volumes of billets and other products as agreed and budgeted.
Quality and cost of the products
Maintenance of the machines
Co-ordination with Marketing / Sales team for dispatches of the product.
Carrying the daily / weekly and monthly review meetings and take course corrective actions.
Budget Vs Actual Variance analysis periodically.
Submission of MIS to Board.
Smooth day to day operation and General Administration.
Motivate the work force and build a team.
Train and develop local employees.
The applicant must be a engineering Graduate in Mechanical / Metallurgy.
At least fifteen years practical operational experience in running a steel factory out of which 5 years should be as senior person.
Skills and Experience:
To be able to manage the operations of an existing company incorporating ideas and ways to improve the functionality of the operation.
To be able to prepare budgets, marketing strategies and setting targets for the company. Sustain the current good practices and bring in new practices in achieving the guest satisfaction.
Excellent communication and management skills, computer skills, presentable, attention to detail, hard working with excellent organizational skills and follow though.
