Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) is one of the national Examinations Boards in Uganda. This is a professional Examinations Board with the mandate to streamline, regulate, coordinate and conduct credible examinations and award Certificates and Diplomas in the Business, Technical and Vocational professions. The Board therefore conducts Business, Technical and Vocational examinations, including Applied Science specialties such as Biological Sciences (Agricultural, Fisheries, Wildlife, Forestry, Bee Keeping and other related fields), Physical Sciences (Meteorology, Surveys and Land Management, and other related fields), Cooperatives, Social Development, Hotel, Catering and Tourism. UBTEB is committed to conduct quality applied knowledge and skills examinations with an ultimate goal of enabling the students to access further upward academic progressions and employment in the world of work.
Receiving and recording suppliers' invoices: checking and verifying issue notes and invoices; Maintaining efficient storage and fast retrieval systems;
Supervising loading and offloading of stores and supplies;
Taking stock on stores and supplies;
Recording and disposing off damaged, obsolete and expired stores;
Keeping records of all stores received and issued out;
Controlling and maintaining Inventory levels.
Issuing goods as authorized by respective authorizing officers.
Recording issues and balances in the ledger book.
Maintaining the restocking process and ensuring optimum stock levels.
Ensuring that the stores are well maintained in terms of cleanliness,
Security and orders made.
Facilitating the inspection of stores by Auditors, Board of Survey and other authorised persons. Submitting reports as may be required
Perform any other relevant duty as assigned by the relevant Supervisor
The candidate should hold a Certificate in Stores and supplies management from a recognized awarding institution.
Skills and Experience:
The candidate must have passed Mathematics and English at 0' Level. Any accounting qualification is an added advantage.
