About US:
The Aga Khan University in conjunction with the Aga Khan Health Service in Uganda invites applications for the vacancies above based in Kampala. Uganda.

Job Summary: The Radiographers will be charged with offering effective radiography services within the laid down standards, operating policies and procedures with the aim of achieving images of high quality diagnostic value.

 Responsibilities:
Make certain that adequate and correct information is given to the patients and care giver/family prior to conducting procedures
Prepare the treatment machines and treatment rooms for each patient adequately.
Monitor and record the patients’ condition throughout the procedure.
Verify and check that all the Radiation safety measures are in place at all times to protect the patient, public, yourself and other staff members.



Document and report all the faults on the machines and notify the department supervisor/manager immediately.
Keep proper and accurate records of procedures, volumes, environment and downtime.
Create and dispatch patient images to relevant departments/physicians in a timely manner to meet high level treatment standards and efficient reports.
Prepare and submit reports as and when required e.g. machine breakdowns and service records.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Centre Manager.

Qualifications,
The Radiographer must hold a good diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or equivalent

Skills and Experience:
At least two years’ related work experience in a busy and established Radiology department.
S/he must be registered with the Radiography Board in Uganda.
Computer literacy skills
Excellent customer care skills are mandatory
