1. Accounts Receivables

Cooperates with Treasury on received Payments
Reconciles Accounts Receivables on a weekly basis

2. Accounts Payables
Cooperates with Treasury on due Payments AP
Reconciles Accounts Payables on a weekly basis
Books all Invoices into the Accounting software (e.g. Microsoft GP)
Sends AP Report to the Accounts HoS at the end of every week
3. Fixed Assets
Reconciles Fixed Assets on a weekly basis
Ensures that Capital Expenditure is capitalized, and Revenue Expenditure is expensed
Processes the disposal of all company assets
Sends FA Report to the Accounts HoS at the end of every week
4. Treasury
Cooperates with the Accounts Manager on monthly exchange rate to be used in the system
Prepares all payments and issues cheques, transfers, or cash as required
Reconciles Bank Accounts and Petty Cash on a daily basis
Sends Treasury Report to the Accounts Manager at the end of every week
5. Tax Agencies
Prepares and submits VAT and other Tax Computations on a monthly basis to the relative
6. Payroll
Reconciles employees’ loans and advances at the end of every week
Qualifications,
The candidate should possess a BSc. in Administration (Accounting/Finance)
Skills and Experience:
Affiliate Member of an Accounting Professional Body (ACCA or CPA)
Three to five years experience in a similar role

Job Title: Radio Field Engineer

The Radio Field Engineer will be a key professional in the early stages of our network deployment, ensuring all our sites are properly prepared for installation of radio and microwave equipment as per requirements of the design, and needs of the network infrastructure supplier. Site development also must take place according to the procedures of the site owners. As the person on the ground preparing the sites, the Radio Field Engineer will ensure that all participants in the site development are obtaining what they need as per the project plan time line.
The Radio Field Engineer will communicate with the Group CTO about progress according to plan, and take action to ensure all installation of hardware and the equipment at sites is of the highest quality.
After the launch of service, the Radio Field Engineer will provide guidance to Radio Technicians on the team, and help supervise their activities in coordination with the Network Operation Team Leader. This includes preventative and remedial maintenance of all of the sites.
Roles
Get all sites up and running on time, ensuring Afrimax responsibilities are met according to plan, and tracking and pressuring site owners and the network vendor to accomplish their tasks on time
Work with the full Afrimax Technical Team to ensure all are informed on site progress and understand the issues. Help others on the team as necessary.
Ensure power, rigging, rf head, antenna placement, and equipment cabinet is all installed, and tested on time, at all sites.
Follow communication procedures with site owners and follow up on all forms and tasks.
Resolve issues causing delays while developing a good relationship with the site owners and network equipment vendor.
Learn the technical specifics and operation of the eNodeB and the microwave equipment, become Afrimax Uganda subject matter expert on these important parts of our system.
Ensure all fiber service to sites is set up properly and runs smoothly.
Ensure that site owners provide the security Afrimax is promised, and be ensure our equipment is as safe as possible.
Continually be a mentor to all radio techs, and support the entire organization with knowledge of the radio technology.
Be involved in the planning so Network Phases 2 through 9 can proceed.
Lead the expansion of the RAN as needed.
Qualifications,
The candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Skills and Experience:
Proven industry knowledge, covering hardware, firmware and software
At least five (5) years relevant work experience at a Mobile Operator or Network Infrastructure Provider
Experience in working effectively in both office and field environments
Willingness to work long hours at times when the job requires it.
Extensive knowledge of radio base station and microwave technologies
Knowledge of working cooperatively with a NOC.
Ability to explain technical issues to non-technically oriented co-workers and others
Ability to work both hands on and at a high strategic level
Educated to degree level
Good written and oral English language skills
Strong work ethic
Affable personality
Knowledge of TD-LTE technology
