Project Officer Staying alive project AMREF in Soroti

Reporting; Project Manager
Purpose of the Job:
To lead the field implementation of the “Staying alive project”, a Maternal Health intervention focusing on; Fistula care and prevention, Post Abortal Care, Family planning, and Basic and Emergency Obstetric care activities in the designated areas of Eastern Uganda (Soroti, Katakwi and Serere).

The project aims at Reducing Maternal Mortality and Morbidity by increasing access to Quality Maternal health care services in Marginalized Communities in Eastern Uganda.

The project officer will promote stakeholders involvement in the development and operationalisation of the project activities and work plans, foster district level coordination and synergies and Promote Multi sector collaboration for Fistula prevention and rehabilitation and establish sustainable community linkages for service uptake.
Basic Qualifications, Training and competencies
• Bachelor’s degree in health, social sciences or closely related field.
• At least 4 years experience managing/coordinating MCH interventions in an NGO setting
• Experience and a good understanding of documenting best practices with training in Sexual Reproductive health
