Job Title: Social Worker.
Reports to: OVC Program Manager.
Duty Station: Mayuge
Location: Mayuge.
Purpose of Position:
S/he will play the lead role in overseeing Habitat for Humanity Uganda’s programmes for HIV and other vulnerable children in the respective Communities The position calls for a high level of, collaboration, networking at local and District level.
Requirement:
A minimum of a Diploma in social work or its equivalent (additional qualifications are an added advantage).
Proven field based experience In coordinating HIV/ AIDS, OVC or related programs.
At least 3 years of NGO project/program related implementation and management preferably within the HIV/AIDS sector.
Understanding of HIV/AIDS' OVC programming/debates and knowledge of similar programs in the country.
Experience in networking, advocacy and lobbying with the local level government and other organization.
Ability to work and live in rural setting.
Ability to ride a motorcycle and evidence of a rider's license.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Computer and Facilitation skills.
High level of integrity and ability to make bold and timely decision.
Ability to communicate in the local language of the community.
Ability to work under a deadline and pressure.
Ability to take initiatives to advance me program.
Strong written and verbal communication in English and knowledge of the local language spoken in any of the target districts will be required.
Proven experience in participatory monitoring and evaluation.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Experience: 3 years
