Training and Development Specialist - IRC Uganda in Kampala

Job Title: Training and Development Specialist

The International Rescue Committee IRC begun working in Uganda in 1998 in response to the devastation wrought by rebel group the Lord’s Resistance Army in the north of the country.
Responsibilities
Providing technical support, training and guidance on best practices to the proposed project as related to interventions promoting youth employment and participation;
Working with private youth with employment, entrepreneurship, financial service access and networking opportunities
Ensuring that in all interventions, there will be an explicit inclusion and expectation of promoting the active engagement of youth at all stages of the project cycle, and building leadership capacity and engagement in community and national forum.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in economics, education, international development, or other human development related field.
Minimum of three years of experience in a leadership position and with demonstrable success in developing employment/livelihoods training and development interventions preferably in Uganda.
Previous work experience in conducting and interpreting market surveys and designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation plans is highly desirable.
Experience managing USDOL- funded projects is a plus.
