Job Summary: The Manager Planning and Organizational Development will coordinate, develop and review the implementation of the Banks Organizational Development and Human Resource (HR) planning initiatives to support strategic business objectives in line with the corporate strategy and Human Resource (HR) business plan.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate, develop and implement the annual bank manpower plans and staff budget in line with the approved business plan and strategy.
Periodically review and coordinate the adjustment of business unit staffing for branches and divisions and align it to manpower plans and productivity benchmarks in line with the business plans and strategy.
Coordinate the implementation of periodic skills audits and generate analytical reports for management decision making in line with HR policy, HR business plan, corporate strategy and objectives.
Review, coordinate and implement workforce succession planning and talent identification strategies to support the delivery of strategic business objectives through addressing current and future competence requirements of the bank.
In liaison with line management review and identify opportunities for organizational capability improvement and development through review of organizational structures, streamlining of business processes and adaptation/development of new technologies in line with the strategic plan and set annual targets.
Offer specialist support to line management in the implementation of change/OD initiatives, plan and interventions, including change communication, implementation, adaption and evaluation in line with the corporate strategy.
Review and document approved macro and micro structures for all operational units in the Bank as a means of communicating, reporting relationships, defining jobs and projecting the growth strategies of the Bank in line with the bank staffing plan.
In liaison with Service Delivery unit, coordinate and follow up implementation of Disciplinary Committee related decisions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should possess an Honors degree in Human Resource Management with a bias in planning and organization or Social Sciences with Human Resource Management as one of the options. A Master's degree in relevant field is highly desired
CIPD qualification or equivalent an added advantage.
At least eight years experience as a HR generalist, with experience in Organizational Development.
Computer literacy skills and statistical competence are a must.
A conceptual and strategic thinker with the proven capability to help shape initiatives and deliver desired outcomes.
Demonstrated change management and project management skills
Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of OD programmes including leadership, engagement, culture, mentoring, performance and capability frameworks etc,
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at the senior/executive level.
Proven ability to develop, streamline, improve and implement systems and processes across a diverse and geographically disperse workforce.
Personal Competencies: Critical Thinking Skills, Organizational Change, Organize and presents ideas, Experience in the design and facilitation of workshops and focus groups, Strong oral and written communication skills.
