Job Title: Project Coordinator - Community Led Total Sanitation Marketing & School WASH

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Offer technical support, oversight and team leadership in the successful planning & implementation of the respective CLTS-SLTS-San Mark and Water projects and ensure that district level structures are fully involved in the implementation of the project in line with Plan Uganda's approach to development
Take lead the development of operational budgets and work plans in consultation with different stakeholders especially the community to enhance their involvement at implementation level.
Identify and apply best practices in child centred approaches during project implementation & ensure that the Project is well integrated with Plan's other program interventions.
Carry out regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure that project goals and objectives are met and implementation is on-track.
Prepare and submit quality project progress reports in the right format and provide feedback to Plan Uganda and Partners.
Ensure that data is collected. professionally documented and where appropriate analysed to ensure proper record keeping and reporting.
Ensure lessons learnt are discussed, documented and disseminated to all stakeholders and as may be requested by management.
Collaborates closely with donors in all aspects of the project.
Builds strong sense of team work with all staff at field level and Project based facilitators.
Ability to cultivate key contacts with children, their families and communities, donors, relevant partners, sponsors and local government officials.
Stay current with all WATSAN related updates, new & exciting experiences, innovations and appropriately disseminate such information within Plan to enable learning and continuous improvement.
Identify staff development needs and liaise with relevant department for appropriate follow-up.
Conduct on-going coaching and on-the-job training of key technical resource staff under the project to increase effective delivery of the project.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The candidates should possess a University Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or another WATSAN related field.
A Post graduate training in Project Planning and Management
Excellent awareness of current issues in the field of development, and familiarity with children's issues in particular in the context of Human rights based programming.
At least five years' experience in managing Water, Hygiene and Sanitation projects with a bias in CLTS, Sanitation Marketing approaches including pen urban related programming among others.
Experience in networking with all relevant line ministries (Water. Health and Education among others)
Experience in fund raising and resource mobilization at local and international levels
Team building and strategic planning skills
Experience and ability to work with Development Partners (Donors)
Demonstrable abilities In planning and budgeting
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Excellent report writing skills
Computer literacy skills in Ms Excel, Power point, Ms Word and Internet usage
Demonstrates willingness to spend extra time to achieve results & under minimum supervision
