Job Summary: The Reward and Performance Management Specialist will plan, review, monitor, and implement employee review and performance management systems in the bank, to attain competitiveness in line with Bank business plan and HR policy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
To monitor, review and implement competitive employee reward systems for the bank in line with the bank business plan, reward strategy and HR policy.
Plan and undertake regular salary surveys, reviews and consolidate information for aligning staff compensation and benefits in line with market rates and Human Resource policy.
Plan, monitor, review, and implement payment of staff salary, benefits and statutory deductions in line with the bank policy and to Uganda labor laws.
Plan, monitor, and implement the performance based reward system the Bank to drive employee productivity in line with set benchmark performance management guidelines and Bank policy.
Plan, monitor, and evaluate the implementation of the Performance Management (PM) systems and generate periodic reports in line w HR policy and the performance management guidelines.
Coordinate the development/review of the performance manager instruments (i.e. role, competence profiles, performance improvement Plans and scorecards) in line with the F guidelines.
Plan, review, monitor and report on the Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) in Key Result Areas where staff do not meet performance expectation(s) for the Bank in line with the Performance Manager guidelines.
Coordinate the process of identifying staff with potential to assume higher responsibility for the Bank in line with the Performance Management guidelines, the Management Development Program strategic objectives of the Bank.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The candidate should hold an honours degree in Human Resource Management, Organization Psychology or Social Sciences.
A post graduate qualification in Human Resource management or organizational psychology is an added advantage.
Good understanding of Performance Management systems inclusive exposure to the Balanced Scorecard (BSC).
Have a thorough understanding of reward and recognitions system their implementation.
Personal Competencies: Exceptional interpersonal skills, Negotiation skills including ability to persuade colleagues to use and adapt to new techniques, Drive for results, Computing and technology application skills, Adaptable and flexible in tasks undertaken, with the ability to learn new skills quickly. Ability to work effectively in teams
