About UMI:
Uganda Management Institute (UMI) is a Management Development Institution with a mission “To Excel in Developing Practical and Sustainable Administration, Leadership and Management Capacity”.  It provides management training, consultancy and research services in response to the demands of the public, private, and NGO sectors.  In addition to short performance improvement management skills development courses, the Institute offers high quality career development management courses at Certificate, Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma and Higher Degree Levels.  The Institute’s activities are currently carried out at the main campus in Kampala and its Outreach Centers in Mbarara, Gulu and Mbale.

Key Duties
Driving assigned passengers and being on call at all times.
Delivering messages, documents and letters as required.
Noting vehicle mileage to track departure and return schedules.
Ensuring vehicle service is on schedule.



Maintaining a functional log book as instructed.
Ensuring that the vehicle is clean
Reporting replacement of worn down vehicle parts
Checking the vehicle routinely and compiling service reports
Perform any other relevant job roles.

Qualifications,
The applicant should possess a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least a pass in English Language at O-Level is a requirement
Hold a valid Driving Permit of Classes C, D and DL will be required

Skills and Experience:
Five years’ experience of continuous driving in a reputable institution will be required
Applicants with mechanical training will have an added advantage
Applicants with defensive Driving training will have an added advantage

Job Terms:  All successful candidates will, on being confirmed in appointment, be offered five-year renewable contracts, a competitive basic salary complemented by housing allowance, medical allowance, transport allowance and an attractive gratuity scheme.
