Our client, a leading Media company requires the services of an experienced Finance Manager to join the Senior Management team driving growth of the company
The Finance Manager will be reporting to the General Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of financial system of the Company.
Ensuring that the budgeting process is carried out within the specified time.
Ensuring all financial reports are produced accurately and delivered within agreed timeliness.
Ensuring efficient and effective financial management.
Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the debt collection system in place, and ensuring that a credit policy in place is functioning properly.
Develop and implement an effective Internal Control System and monitor its effectiveness.
Preparation and review of the monthly performance report and rolling 12 months forecast.
Interpret and implement tax regulations, ensuring that all statutory taxes are reconciled and paid on time.
Maintain an up – to – date asset register.
Maintain good business relationships with all stake holders.
Requirement:
Person Specifications: The client is looking for a professional with the following experience and qualifications:
First University Degree, preferably in Accounting.
Should be a professionary qualified accountant with ACCA, CPA, or its equivalent.
> Have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a similar position in a reputable organisation.
Have a thorough knowledge of International Financial reporting Standards.
Have good interpersonal and communication Skills
Demonstrate leadership and motivational skills.
> Be an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (CPA)(U) • Should be between 35 and 45 years of age. Salary An attractive Salary package commensurate with the qualification and experience will be offered to the selected candidate.
