About STF:
Straight Talk Foundation is an indigenous health communications NGO operating nationally in Uganda through the provision of quality behaviour change programs. Straight Talk Foundation (STF) is a Ugandan health communication NGO registered in 1997.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the identification of organization funding needs; develop and implement strategies for meeting them.
Generate proposals for projects and programs in line with STF strategic goals and donor priorities.
Carry out activities to build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with STF funders and partners.
Nurture existing donor relationships and secure new donor and partner relationships for STF.
Oversee existing grants in liaison with the finance team; maintain excellent historical organization records on various grants.
Monitor STF grant performance and communicate relevant information with program staff.
Create and maintain systems to promote good working relationships with program staff on proposal development, reporting and other contractual obligations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
A minimum of five years’ experience of successful grant writing
Possession of a Masters degree in a health or development area
The applicant should possess high personal initiative
Work independently
Manage complex tasks
Ability to prioritize
Possess the ability to multi-task
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Highly detail oriented; analytical and a problem- solver
