Job Purpose;
This position is to ensure that the feed mill products meet both company and statutory quality specifications and requirements, and with the aim of exceeding the customer expectations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities;
To sample and analyse all raw materials and packaging materials being received at the feed mill and ensure the materials meet company specifications.
To help in the implementation of continuous improvement projects in the feed mill.
To document and periodically report all quality assurance operations.
To ensure that all set formulations are adhered to by the tallyman (tallying officer).
To ensure that the GMP is maintained at all times on the shop floor and also in stores.
To ensure that the fumigation and rat baiting contracts are followed or adhered to.
And other duties that may arise from time to time.
Relevant Experience and Qualification;
Minimum of three years experience in a Food/feed milling industry as a Quality controller
Minimum diploma in Food or Feed technology, chemistry or any other related field. Or certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience in quality management Systems like HACcP, Kaizen and ISO will be an added advantage.
Other Skills;
Microbiological and chemical analyses skills.
Computer skills experience.
Good communication skills and fluent in English
Attention to details and of high moral integrity.
Good manufacturing principles
People management skills and attention to details.
