Our client is a member of a leading manufacturing Group of metal roofing and allied building products. Human Resources, Administration and Corporate Social Responsibility function.They produce and distribute galvanized (zinc) coated iron roofing sheets and coloured (pre-painted) steel roofing sheets in various profiles; black pipes, sections, z-purlins, windows & door frames, plates etc; conforming to Uganda National Bureau of Standards and International Standards. They also service their customers through Service Centres at Tororo and Arua with employee strength of 350.
In a bid to improve service delivery, our client is looking for a dynamic HR Manager to To help ensure that the Business Unit achieves its corporate objectives and makes the best use of its employees by developing, directing, managing and maintaining innovative, best-practice, effective and forward-looking Human Resource strategies, practices, protocols and procedures

Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & budget: Contribute to the development of the Groups’ corporate HR strategy, particularly by advising on the local context human resource implications of strategic decisions
HR Administration: Finalize the policy, procedures and forms including implementation upon approval
Recruitment: Manage and maintain all necessary HR people plans i.e. Workforce plan, succession plans & talent plans
Human Resource Development & Training: Implement HR management Information System (VIP Payroll)
Information management: Manage and maintain a Human Resources Information Systems to ensure easy accessibility of information for decision making
Performance Management: Support periodic performance evaluation and related management
Employee relations: Manage Disciplinary Procedures, Grievances and oversee management of absenteeism
Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Health and Safety best practices within the context
Minimum qualifications and experience
Post Graduate Degree, preferably in HR Management;
At least 8 years HR experience preferably in an industrialized environment;
At least 3 years experience in a Senior HR management capacity;
Membership of a professional HR Body;
Knowledge of all applicable HR related legislation in Uganda.
