Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

The International Rescue Committee IRC begun working in Uganda in 1998 in response to the devastation wrought by rebel group the Lord’s Resistance Army in the north of the country.
Responsibilities
Ensuring the quality and relevance of the projects monitoring and evaluation design, including but not limited to the development of all relevant tools;
Leading implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities for the project, by providing technical support, training and guidance on best practices vis-à-vis monitoring and evaluation for the proposed project
Hiring and managing all monitoring and evaluation staff;
Working with the project team, including all partner staff and organizations and others to ensure that all interventions fall under a cohesive monitoring and evaluation design.
Qualifications
Minimum of five years professional experience in a senior M&E position responsible for implementing M&E position responsible for implementing M& E activities of international development projects.
Bachelors or Masters Degree in statistics, demographics, public policy, international development, economics or related field. Master’s degree or Bachelor plus an advanced certificate in M&E, statistics or economics preferred.
Proven success in designing, implementing and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
Experience designing and managing beneficiary monitoring and database systems.
