CARE Programming in Uganda targets vulnerable communities such as the extreme poor, internally displaced people, and women and children to provide assistance and opportunities for sustainable development. CARE addresses the underlying causes of poverty through its varied interventions

Job Summary: The Accounts Manager  will be responsible for the review, approval & reconciliation of general ledger, accounts payable & receivable, and cash management activities; ensure appropriate segregation of duties within team; forecasting cash needs; performing treasury transfers; determining if new accounts/banking services are required and working with Headquarters to Bridge checks and establish services with new providers.  



Qualifications,
The Accounts Manager for CARE Uganda should hold a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration or finance management
Additional professional  qualifications  such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICSA etc or its equivalent as a' MUST' OR Masters degree in a relevant qualification like accounting, Finance or an MBA but with bias of Finance or accounting

 Skills and Experience:
Five or years’ of relevant financial professional experience
Detailed understanding of financial accounting, reporting and grants and contract management processes.
Knowledge of relevant donor polices & procedures
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills to conduct training sessions for small, medium and large sized groups;
Excellent analytical and problem solving,
Possess the ability to maintain customer focus while handling multiple priorities
Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes and procedures and adapt local practices to global standards
Strong Analytical and Problem Solving skills.
Strong oral and communication skills
Excellent leadership, coaching and negotiation skills
Ability to work on teams, work at detailed level and understand the larger picture
Strong oral and written communication skills
Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, spreadsheets and financial software applications
Demonstrated experience with financial troubleshooting, auditing or grant management.(as an added advantage)
