About US:
Windle Trust Uganda (WTU) is a registered NGO whose primary mission is to equip refugees and others affected by conflict in Africa to meet the challenges of-development through providing access to education, training, and employment opportunities by advocacy and direct programme activity. In partnership with the UNHCR, WTU seeks to recruit suitable qualified persons to fill the following positions for Kampala Office & Refugee Settlements in Kiryandongo, Arua and Adjumani.
Job Summary: The Programme Manager Education (PM) will be responsible for the overall leadership, management oversight and strategic direction of WTU field education programmes. The PM will also be responsible for the mentoring and supervision of all field staff in the programme and managing relationships with donors and partner agencies at field level.
Qualifications,
The Programme Manager Education (PM) must hold a bachelor’s degree in Education or Social Sciences, Post Graduate in Education
Skills and Experience:
Three or more years’ experience in education programme management
Fluency in English and local language proficiency is required.
In addition, the preferred person should have relevant work experience with refugees and child protection fields
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain high-level professional working relationships,
Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
