About UAS:
The Uganda Aviation School (UAS), the school of aviation excellence in the East African region, has new exciting career opportunities open for East Africans.
Key Duties
Taking lead of a team of Commercial managers in creating a UAS sales and marketing strategy within a framework agreed by the Director, which creates and delivers shareholder value.
Explaining UAS commercial strategy to key stakeholders and ensuring that it drives operational management in Marketing Department.
Meeting and/or exceeding business performance targets in areas return on investment, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Using relevant metrics and measures to routinely monitor progress against targets and take appropriate managerial action to ensure that all targets are met or exceeded.
Representing and promoting UAS commercial interests in national or international forums
Qualifications,
The applicant should hold a good Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Skills and Experience:
Professional CIMA or equivalent qualification is a pre-requisite for a successful applicant
Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
At least four years’ experience in senior management position
Professional Certification in Aviation will be advantageous
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Proven leadership ability
Excellent analytical skills and ability to recognize trends and opportunities and plan/execute action to exploit business opportunities
Possess the ability to present compelling business cases for major investment
Past exposure and experience working with and managing relationships with external agencies and 3rd party agencies
Exhibit personal commitment to meet and exceed set targets
Ability to understand the needs of staff and to apply best practice people management techniques to ensure a motivated and productive workforce.
