Job Summary: The Mobile Counsellor's primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently provide HCT services to clients and ride a three wheeled vehicle within Kampala. This specific role is part of the Link Up Team that is working to provide integrated family planning and HIV services to youth and high risk groups such as young people living with HIV and sex workers. Therefore the post holder should hold a positive attitude towards serving these demographics and be exceptionally resilient and open.
Responsibilities:
Offer comprehensive client counselling on reproductive health and other health matters.
Taking necessary steps to ensure that all outreach clients are treated with sensitivity, respect, and consideration.
Effectively manage and resolve complaints raised by clients and promptly escalate difficult issues to the Outreach Team Leader.
Support the clinical staff in imparting general Family Planning Information to clients and exercising the vocal local technique.
Actively participate in community sensitisation and mobilisation
Support the Service Provider on outreach by unloading the vehicle.
Ensure the vehicle is properly loaded with outreach equipment and ready to leave at 9 a.m. at the latest for outreach.
