Advocacy and Accountability Specialist -1 Position based in Lira
Plan International Inc. in Uganda was awarded a 5-year Cooperative Agreement under the Northern Uganda-Health Integration to Enhance Services (NU-HITES) project to continue providing technical assistance and capacity building support for Northern Uganda in Malaria, AIDS and Tuberculosis, integrate additional support in Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH), Family Planning (FP) and nutrition; while prioritizing the strengthening of district-level health facilities. Under the NU-HITES project, Plan Uganda would like to recruit a competent candidate for the position of Community Advocacy and Accountability in Lira.
Reporting to the Director of Health Services, the incumbent will be a member of the health services delivery team, serve as the project’s expert on Community Advocacy and Accountability for the Nu-hites program. S/he will provide technical and strategic support in strengthening community participation and ownership of health services in Northern Uganda.
Requirement:
Bachelor degree (Master's preferred) in Development, Social Sciences, Public Health or a related field
Professional training on or experience with Advocacy related field
Knowledge of the socio-economic and political context in northern Uganda
At least 3 years' experience in community advocacy and accountability of health (preferably USAID funded) projects
