DRILLING OFFICER- LIRA International Lifeline Fund (ILF)
Founded in 2003, International Lifeline Fund (ILF) is a private, non-profit organization based in Washington, DC. Within Uganda, ILF’s activities focus on increasing rural water access, improving sanitation conditions, and combating deforestation with fuel-efficient stoves, ILF is currently seeking to recruit:
DRILLING OFFICER. LIRA
Key Responsibilities:
Assessing, implementing and monitoring water-drilling activities
Undertaking drilling activities at borehole sites
Maintaining WASH program assets, equipment and materials
Identify mechanical problems and perform basic maintenance of equipment
Document field work
Compile weekly and monthly reports
Complete supply requests to Logistics
Assist in community mobilization, as well as Sanitation & Hydro activities
Requirement:
Diploma in water engineering preferred
Knowledge of hydrological surveys is a plus
At least 5 years' experience in a similar position
Willingness to spend the majority of the time in the field
High sense of responsibility and flexibility
Number of years of drilling experience and experience of equipment previously used should be indicated in the application.
