PROGRAM OFFICER (INSTITUTIONAL STOVES) - International Lifeline Fund (ILF)
Founded in 2003, International Lifeline Fund (ILF) is a private, non-profit organization based in Washington, DC. Within Uganda, ILF’s activities focus on increasing rural water access, improving sanitation conditions, and combating deforestation with fuel-efficient stoves, ILF is currently seeking to recruit:
PROGRAM OFFICER (INSTITUTIONAL STOVES), LIRA
Key Responsibilities
Effectively advertise, construct and monitor institutional stoves
Identify institutions & assist in conducting baseline surveys at site
Ensure smooth operation of the entire production process
Supervise all the steps of stove construction to ensure quality
Conduct stove test, research and development on stove design
Be proactive in design improvements, program directions and expansion
Assist the M&E Officer in all aspects of M&E
Conduct training and regular M&E of Institutional Stoves
Supervise and train stove users, interns, contractors, etc.
Write weekly and monthly reports, and participate in coordination meetings
Being responsible for the logistics and finances of the program in close collaboration with Operations (e.g. material requests, inventory, weekly field movement, etc.)
Represent ILF with all potential partners, stove beneficiaries and government officials
Requirement:
Degree (or higher) in relevant disciplines or its equivalent in experience
At least five years working experience in similar position
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
Willingness to spend a lot of time in the field
High sense of responsibility and flexibility
